Karndean Luxury Vinyl Plank and Tile
Sometimes Paying More Is Worth It
Luxury vinyl plank came to the scene somewhere about 2013, or should I saw, exploded on the scene. Luxury vinyl tile has been in the flooring industry for the past 20 years. It wasn't until Metroflor launched Konecto, a floating luxury vinyl plank, did the industry see much action. Even Metroflor's Konecto had its problems, but flooring dealers in Dalton Ga, as well as other flooring stores just couldn't grasp the concept of a luxury vinyl. But, it is the leading flooring category as of August 2019, taking over carpet as the most durable, life worthy flooring product. But manufacturers such as Karndean Flooring, have been cranking out lvp and lvt for almost a quarter century. Everyone remembers the flooring Walmart had in its clothing section back in the late 90s. We that was luxury vinyl plank, and is still in some Walmart facilities across the country. "The flooring in walmart" is how it was presented to me back in 2006. Then a light went off. If Walmart trust the product in their stores, with 1000s across the country, then flooring customers will recognize it. And they did. Karndean Floors is one the largest luxury vinyl flooring companies in America, with huge corporate buildings hosting their products. Before becoming the industry leader, Karndean had a handful of lvp products in their line. The Van Gogh collection was their golden child. Sold as a 6" LVP, the Van Gogh collection only boasted a 15 year warranty, far from the lifetime warranty it has now. The spec product was called Knight TIle, and only carried a 10 year warranty, but was an inexpensive flooring option. Why are Karndeans prices so much higher than the other company's prices. It all goes back to my main topic from the previous article about buying from a trusted company. With their integrity in place, and their value in check, Karndean is a company you can stand on in case of a warranty. All LVT LVP products are basically imported from Asian countries such as China. A race to be the first to bring a product to market has never been Karndean's goal. Simply because they accomplish rigorous test to make sure their vinyl flooring products are waterproof, kid friendly, pet friendly, and scratch resistant. With the introduction on rigid cared products, Karndean has launched its most popular and long lasting products yet, the Van Gogh Rigid Core and the Korlok Collection, both carrying lifetime warranties. Karndean is sometimes a little late to the ballgame because of their attention to detail and customer satisfaction. They even have a Looselay product, installable without the use of messy adhesives, and without a locking system. The Looselay simply lays over the subfloor, with the weight creating a tacky, suction that can still be taken up and easily repositioned. This product is ideal for DIY flooring customers looking to save some cash on installs. In in case, Georgia Carpet Industries located in Dalton, GA carries and possesses instock Karndean at a cost thats gratifying to the budget conscience consumer.
