At Georgia Carpet Industries, our love for pets goes beyond offering durable, scratch-resistant and waterproof pet-friendly flooring—it’s part of who we are. Our passion for animals started with our company president bringing his three golden retrievers to work every day, creating a pet-friendly culture that we cherish. From playing fetch during our breaks, to creating hilarious content with them, we’ve enjoyed having our furry friends around the office, but we knew there was more we could do.

For this reason, we are beyond excited to introduce our first-ever Georgia Carpet Pet Adoption Day! We want to take our love for animals a step further by helping local pets find their forever homes. That’s why we’ve proudly partnered with the Walker County Animal Shelter to host this special event. Our goal is to connect loving families with adoptable pets while raising awareness about the importance of pet adoption. Whether you’re looking for a loyal companion or simply want to support a great cause, this event is the perfect opportunity to make a difference in an animal’s life.
Join us on May 3, 2025, at our store in Dalton, GA, where you’ll have the chance to meet adorable, adoptable pets waiting for their new families. Not only will you get to experience the joy of pet adoption, but you can also explore our wide selection of pet-friendly flooring designed to stand up to the wear and tear of furry friends. Adoption Day Starts In...

In the days leading up to our Adoption Event, we’re excited to showcase some of the amazing dogs currently available at the Walker County Animal Shelter! While these specific pups may not be at the event itself, we want to remind you that you don’t have to wait—you can visit the shelter and adopt anytime. Our goal is to help as many animals as possible find loving forever homes, so if you see a furry friend that steals your heart, don’t hesitate—start your adoption journey today!
Sawyer
Sawyer is a 2-year-old neutered male who has been with the shelter for 224 days. He is a Bulldog mix with the cutest personality. He's very bouncy and happy, and great with other dogs. He has become a staff favorite because of his bubbly personality—it's hard to be in a bad mood when he's around. He would be great for a family that would take him along everywhere they went!
Olga
Olga is a 3 year old spayed American Bulldog that has been with the shelter for 50 days. She is a whole baked potato and as cute as they come. Olga loves people and other dogs. She may be a bit on the chunky side and low to the ground, but she can keep up with her playgroup mates no problem. When she isn't hanging out with her dog friends, she's sunbathing in her outside run or snoozing. She would be the perfect cuddle buddy for a movie night on the couch.
Killian
Killian is a 9 month old neutered male who has been with the shelter for 150 days. He is a staffy/hound mix who loves everyone he meets. He is wonderful with other dogs, enjoys running and playing with anyone who is willing to show him attention. Killan has also grown up here at the shelter. He would also be great for an active family.
Kiara
Kiara is a 9 month old spayed female who has been with the shelter for 150 days. She is a staffy/hound mix with loads of energy. She never meets a stranger and does great with other dogs. Sadly, she has grown up here at the shelter, and spent her best puppy months in a kennel, rather than in a loving home. She would be great for an active family who likes to hike or run!
Microchipping
Not everyone may be looking to adopt a new pet—and that’s okay! For those who already have furry friends at home, Georgia Carpet Industries, thanks to our the generous partnership with the Walker County Animal Shelter, will also be offering $10 microchipping during the event. So bring your dogs—all are welcome!
Meet Belle, Beast & Lavender
While they won’t be up for adoption, Belle, Beast, and Lavender, our company president’s three lovable golden retrievers, have been an integral part of Georgia Carpet Industries for years. These playful, friendly companions have brought a joyous atmosphere to our office, as well as plenty of tail wags, and served as the inspiration for our pet adoption day.
