Ensure the floor is sound, smooth, dry, and clean. Remove any dirt, wax, loose paint, old adhesives, or other foreign matter. The site should be temperature-controlled, with the room and floor kept at 65°-95°F and humidity below 65% for 48 hours before and after installation. Avoid installing on chemically cleaned surfaces. Concrete subfloors should be tested for moisture, with vapor emissions below 3.0 lbs. or relative humidity below 75%, and pH levels under 9.0.
