We purchased this flooring three weeks ago. It feels great, and the installer told us it was easy to install. We paid little more than we wanted to (this is why i am leaving 4 stars) , but overall we are happy with our new carpet.

Less than one year after this carpet was installed I started to notice traffic patterns developing. My wife and I live alone in our house and never wear shoes inside. I have been working with residential carpet for the last 47 years in Sales, Installation and Repair and have never seen wear like this in an expensive carpet, Mohawk will not stand behind the so called 25 year wear warrant that comes with this carpet. I will not be recommending any Mohawk SmartStrand carpet to any of my customers, family or friends. The independent inspector that Mohawk sent to our home to look at the problem told me that they just don't make carpet like they use to. That's for sure the carpet that we replaced was 27 years old and had much less wear than this new carpet is already showing.
